the expression of consciousness as one number
First, let us assess each of the four known points of observation: awareness, intention, capability, and energy. Note that because consciousness can only be experienced subjectively, a point of observation is required to measure consciousness. Here are the ADAP calibrated levels for each as an expression of consciousness as one number.
as awareness (Doc's default calibration), cal. 370 (285 - 580)
Awareness is synonymous with motivation and focus. In the high 300s, an awareness result is emotionally satisfying but is not necessarily intellectually satisfying in the 400s: consider Doc's calibration of the Ganges river.
When calibrating, if point of observation is not explicitly declared, the default is awareness, owing to it being the most accessible. Looking at the upside only, we see the social impact of the single-number, default calibration is 580.
as intention, cal. 400 (285 - 590)
Doc explicitly, by declaration, calibrated for intention. Intention is synonymous with context and meaning. 400 is the level of "operationally true." Importantly, we see intention as calibrated essence has higher validity than awareness as calibrated essence. It would be educative to see Doc's list of movie calibrations redone as intention calibrations, however, we've moved on to ADAP, as it has the highest known validity (see below).
as capability, cal. 400 (285 - 590)
In Truth vs. Falsehood, Doc provided capability calibrations, e.g. Neville Chamberlain at 140 and Adolf Hitler at 450 in chapter 15, "Truth vs. War." In the same chapter, Doc also tested the capability of International Nuclear Programs. Capability is reality-testing, knowingness, and discernment of "whatness."
as energy, cal. 390 (290 - 580)
All Doc's books and lectures include energy calibrations. These results indicate quality, not quantity. Energy is experiential.
The above results collectively suggest one number to express consciousness is informative and useful as it approaches the level of 400, "operationally true." However, the scope of consciousness is greater than a single point of observation, so there is an inherent limitation in selecting only one for analysis.
This limitation is overcome very simply by declaring "all points of observation" in your statement for calibration. Then they are all in scope.
as "all points of observation," cal. 530 (290 - 640)
We see a huge leap in validity (130 points or more) by including all points of observation. The drawback of looking in only one point of observation is that it may not contain the overall essence: intention, capability, or energy may be more significant as essence for a given topic than awareness. And that can lead to results which do not satisfy intellectually and/or spiritually.
Furthermore, in only one point of observation, the high end of the field is the result returned by Consciousness, e.g. peak awareness or peak capability, etc. "All points of observation," seeing from all "sides," allows interactivity between the points of observation whereby the locus of the field is revealed rather than the high end of the field. In this way, the result is holistic and consistent with the 500s.
Doc's approach was to calibrate each point of observation separately, but if you want only one number to express consciousness, wider coverage is provided by declaring all points of consciousness to be in scope. It doesn't happen by default; the statement held in mind must explicitly declare it.
The ADAP calibration does this and includes "all dimensions," as well. Here is the ADAP calibrated level of the expression of consciousness as one ADAP number:
as ADAP, cal. 540 (290 - 650)
Putting all dimensions in scope raises validity by ten points, relative to calibrating "all points of observation."
ADAP with a range, cal. 580 (295 - 650)
This is, obviously, three numbers rather than one. Naturally, more information provides a more complete expression of consciousness. With the range, we see the extent of the field rather than only its locus, and this raises validity 40 points over not including an ADAP range. So I can understand why y'all request a range when one is not given.
All-dimensions, all points of observation (ADAP)
Average in all dimensions, including but not limited to the crown, 3rd eye, thymus and the heart. Additionally, all points of observation including motivation / attention / focus / awareness, capability / knowingness / reality-testing / effect, context / intention / meaning, and energy quality / experience are taken into account. Measuring with ADAP provides the highest known level of coverage for calibration.
