Boasberg blocked the Trump administration use of the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to deport criminal aliens. SCOTUS ruled the lawsuit was improperly filed in Boasberg's jurisdiction and vacated his order. Nevertheless, Boasberg is charging the Trump administration with criminal contempt for noncompliance.
