Do negative occurrences happen without negative karma? No, not really...

statement: love is sacrifice

Priority request: A catholic friend thought the two were inseparable and I thought it was mostly spiritual ego. Doc made it clear service is not sacrifice, however, it lead to an interesting conversation and he raised some convincing points so I wanted to see how it calibrates.

Request: ...and one's loc is the extent one has surrendered the (grim) pleasure / essence of spiritual darkness.

regretting consenting to human incarnation

Request: Doc said that all humans gave consent to be born as humans. Is thinking that it wasn't a great idea inherently negative? Considering that it subjects one to some degree of suffering and lots of hard work, among other things?

statement: loving others is no substitute for loving yourself

Loving others is heart-based, while loving yourself is thymus-based. As the heart dimension is nested within the thymus dimension, loving others serves the highest good only in the context of loving yourself. (The highest good includes you!)

statement: the intellect can never know Love

The intellect is fundamentally incapable of discerning the true nature of Love over 500.

statement: negative karma inevitably runs out, unless refortified

The amount of negative, individual karma is fixed and finite, and life will process it out unless you add to it.

"If it's God's Will, it will just happen"

Priority request: Just trying to figure out to what degree we are responsible for "doing" God's Will, or doing some kind of work or effort to bring something about instead of trusting the field. It seems like a duality to me.
