Behaviors

catfishing

Request: Pretending to be someone else online, often in a romantic context... the motivation is to scam others for money however experience tells me this isn't always the case. Some catfishers get nothing but the thrill of emotional manipulation or pretending to be something they are not.

bullying

“success is not for me”

Priority request: something to cancel, I guess.

not following your own advice

Request: Some people preach what they don't do themselves, intentionally or not. Is it within integrity or should it be avoided?

letting others be as they are

Request: ...instead of trying to change, judge, or idealize a better version of them.

refusing help (when you need it)

Request: Is "I want to do this by myself" within integrity, similar to "I want to be in charge", or is it purely a pride thing?

telling others today is one's birthday

Request: Self-love or seeking attention?

healthy self-interest

Priority request: "taking care of yourself but not at the expense of others" -- psychologytoday.com

praying for the same thing over and over

Request: Is this a desire thing or maybe a pragmatic way of staying aligned with something meaningful? I usually feel better when I talk to God about it but it seems kind of compulsive at times too.

drinking even a single glass during pregnancy can cause birth defects

calling a spade a spade

While the motivation may be in the 400s—TvF has it at 490—in practice its effect applies to the material world, not to the symbols and abstractions of the intellect.

Sometimes some of us just can't stop. Or is it okay? -- request.

meddling
