presumption of bias
Presumption of bias is a wide-ranging attractor field that is, on average, constructive. However, under 200, it is cynical, self-serving and undermines the operational search for truth. When does presumption of bias give way to a higher-functioning capability?
presumption of bias, cal. 210 (90 - 400)
All-dimensions, all points of observation (ADAP)
Average in all dimensions, including but not limited to the crown, 3rd eye, thymus and the heart. Additionally, all points of observation including motivation / attention / focus / awareness, capability / knowingness / reality-testing / effect, context / intention / meaning, and energy quality / experience are taken into account. Measuring with ADAP provides the highest known level of coverage for calibration.
At 210 on average, presumption of bias is functionally diligent (210 TvF), but it comes in many flavors, from 90 up to 400.
Below 200, presumption of bias is applied to maintain false beliefs: an ego defense mechanism uninterested in actual truth. The under-200 posture can be summarized as "Everyone is biased but me!" The self-deceptive, spiritualized ego regards calling out bias as defending truth. Yet if everyone is biased, the search for truth is rendered impotent and becomes a mere function of what one wants to believe.
From 200 to 400, one concedes he probably has bias, which is a necessary a step towards higher truth, as it mitigates the ego "juice" of self-ascribed infallibility. In these levels, personal character, persona, and self-awareness are cultivated, and presumption of bias is regarded as a facet of developmental self-reflection.
Over 400, the presumption of bias is replaced by objectivity, which doesn't impute personal motives to discerning truth: truth is recognized as standing independently of personal interest, personal character or persona.
Over 500, subjectivity, which could be characterized as the cognizance of knowing-as-being, apprehends that individuals have varying capabilities to comprehend truth. This precludes projection of presumptive bias on others and transcends it as a "cause" for individual inability to arrive at truth.
Indeed, those who presume bias (90 to 400) operate under a psychological projection, for better or worse, of their own limited capability to discern truth, e.g. "I have personal bias, so, obviously, everyone else does." In fact, consciousness evolves beyond this posture and positionality from level 400, where emotion-based self-interest and the persona give way to the rational clarity of true intellect.
Accuracy in consciousness calibration may be doubted, or at least questioned, in the subjective levels from 90 to 400 that hold presumption of bias as certain truth. Transcend the field of presumption-of-bias by letting go of personal motives and projections serving the small-self persona and set your sights on higher capability. With presumption of bias out of the equation, you're on your way to improved calibration accuracy.
